FALCONI CAPTURES NEW BRAUNFELS $50K TITLE; TAKES OVER LEAD FOR AUSTRALIAN OPEN WILD CARD

Agent Atleta client Irina Falconi continued her stellar form this fall season, capturing the singles title at the $50,0000 USTA Pro Circuit event in New Braunfels.  Falconi used her vintage all-around game and savvy shot selection to frustrate fellow American Jennifer Brady, one of the nation's top amateur players after leading UCLA to an NCAA team title last year.

The 7-6, 6-2 victory ended in spectacular fashion with Falconi adeptly changing direction to run down a deft drop shot and pass Brady at the net to secure the winner's check of over $7,000.

The result vaulted Falconi into first place in the race for the coveted USTA main draw wild card into the Australian Open.  The wild card playoff consists of three consecutive events on the USTA Pro Circuit: Macon, GA; New Braunfels, TX; and Captive Island, the latter of which will take place this week.

The rules dictate that a player's best two results will count towards the race.  Falconi reached the semi-finals in Macon, such that only a finals appearance in Captiva could improve her status.

Falconi, a member of the WTA Player's Council, recently hired young touring pro Patrick Frandji from Florida as her full-time coach.  The pair have combined for a strong record this fall, and Falconi is on the verge of breaking back in the top 100 for the first time since 2012.

LAS VEGAS (Oct. 16, 2014) – Agent Atleta Ltd. has announced the signing of Serbian professional tennis player Jovana Jaksic to a management agreement.  Jaskic reached the final of the Abierto Monterrey WTA event in March, which marked just the fifth WTA tournament of her young career.  The result earned Jaksic a nomination for the WTA Rising Stars program, an inaugural event at the WTA Finals in Singapore recognizing up-and-coming players on the tour.

The 21-year-old Serbian has vaulted 300 ranking spots in the last two years, and reached a career high of No. 102 on May 12, 2014.  Jaksic, a member of the Serbian Fed Cup Team, holds 14 ITF singles titles and is currently ranked No.121.

“I am ecstatic to represent a player and person of Jovana’s caliber.  She is a talented, charming young woman who possesses transcendent attributes that will serve her well as her promising career continues to take off,” said Agent Atleta’s Jordan Butler, whose duties will include sponsorship and management support as Jaksic’s designated agent.

“I am happy to add Jordan to my team, and am confident that we will work well together,” said Jaksic.
Jaksic’s public relations and media opportunities will continue to be handled by Katie Spellman, formerly of the WTA.
