SANCHEZ REACHES FIRST PRO FINAL

Rookie pro Maria Sanchez reached the first final of her career at the Audi Melbourne Classic in Indian Harbour Beach.  Sanchez cruised through the field as a wild card before falling to another promising American Grace Min, 6-4, 7-6 (4), in a two-hour clay court encounter.

Sanchez, who has jumped 400 spots in the rankings in 2012, finished second in the USTA French Open wild card standings.  She will next contest a $50,000 USTA Pro Circuit event in Sacramento, near her hometown of Modesto, CA.
